Zimbabwe |
|
Zimbabwe is a country suffering from an acute political and economic crisis. ACTSA is campaigning to help bring about a democratic and prosperous Zimbabwe. We condemn human rights violations and oppression, and are working to provide solidarity to all those who are suffering there. We call for change in policies in Zimbabwe but we do not support any one party or faction. We support the targeted measures imposed by the EU based on the positions of our partners in southern African and our own analysis. We call for humanitarian aid to be delivered on the basis of need rather than political affiliation.
Position
ACTSAs position on Zimbabwe is based on its values and objectives and on its history in the struggle against apartheid and for democracy, human rights and development for southern Africa. To read our latest position paper click here (Last updated 3 July 2008)
