    Swaziland is Africa’s only absolute monarchy. Democracy is denied and political parties are banned. This small country is often overlooked despite the denial of human rights and enduring Africa’s longest running state of emergency since 1973.

    Swaziland – Africa’s Last Monarchy

    ‘Swaziland – Africa’s Last Monarchy’ is a documentary by Danish journalist Tom Heinemann that describes the fight for democracy and socio-economic justice in Swaziland through the eyes of Bheki Dlamini, a young activist and leading member of Swaziland’s largest banned political party, the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO).
