Student groups

Student groups are teams of dedicated individuals who make a valuable contribution to ACTSA’s work, campaigning for justice, democracy and development across southern Africa.

ACTSA works with the NUS and student’s unions to build solidarity between student groups in the UK and Southern Africa.

Our student groups

  • Gain valuable experience of campaigning, fundraising, project management, team-working

  • Are informed with reliable up-to-date information about southern Africa

  • Have the opportunity to work with like-minded people, passionate about southern Africa

  • Receive priority news about forthcoming volunteering, internship and student delegation opportunities with ACTSA

ACTSA provides campaign materials, fundraising advice, help in organising events and can put student groups in touch with key speakers.

If there is not a group in your area or institution, we actively encourage you to start one! There is lots of information available about how to set up a group in our student group pack.

Contact us to find out if there is an ACTSA student group in your area, and for advice on how to set up your own group.
