Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) are unfair trade deals the European Commission is trying to force on African, Caribbean and Pacific countries. These unfair trade deals could destroy economies, jobs and livelihoods in southern Africa.
ACTSA want to see the European Union promote a pro-development trade policy. In their current form EPAs threaten to flood African markets with subsidised European goods and undermine poor farmers and vulnerable producers.

In the next few months and weeks members of the European Parliament (MEPs) have the chance to demand that the European Commission’s President, Commissioner Barroso re-opens negotiations.
