Annual General Meeting and Conference

ACTSA Annual General Meeting and Conference 2011

Saturday, 29 October

Amnesty International, The Human Rights Action Centre, 17 - 25 New Inn Yard, London, EC2A 3EA

The AGM is a chance for ACTSA members and affiliates to help decide our plans and priorities and to stand for and vote in elections for the National Executive Council.

Annual Conference - Climate change: Listen to southern Africa
2pm-4.30pm, also at Amnesty International

Our Annual conference will hear from speakers from Swaziland, South Africa and the British trade union movement, one month before the UN conference on climate change in Durban.

What is southern Africa calling for at the conference? How can we ensure that issues like decent work, poverty alleviation, human rights and fair trade are at the heart of the climate change debate?

Join us to debate these issues with: Thuli Makama, winner of the 2010 Goldman Environmental Prize, Bheki Ntshalintshali, Deputy General Secretary COSATU (by video), Keith Sonnet, Collen Zalengera, Mzuzu University, Malawi.
